Khun Paen Reun Na Sethi Samret

Khun Paen “Na Sethi” Amulet

Old Ban Krang Powder with Lacquer and Gold Leaf (B.E. 2551)
Luang Pu Nuam – Wat Pho Sri Charoen, Suphan Buri

The Khun Paen (Na Sethi) amulet created in B.E. 2551 (2008) by Luang Pu Nuam of Wat Pho Sri Charoen, Sri Prachan District, Suphan Buri, is a highly respected sacred object rooted deeply in classical Thai magical tradition. This edition was crafted using old sacred powder from the famous Ban Krang cache, mixed with lacquer and adorned with genuine gold leaf, combining ancient material heritage with powerful esoteric consecration.

Suphan Buri has long been regarded as the spiritual homeland of Khun Paen amulets, and Ban Krang is universally acknowledged as one of the most legendary origins of this lineage. Luang Pu Nuam’s creation stands as a continuation of this sacred tradition, refined through his own distinctive spiritual mastery.

Luang Pu Nuam and the “Na Maha Samret” Lineage

Luang Pu Nuam was widely known by the honorific title “Na Maha Samret”, a name derived from a rare and secretive sacred formula he mastered through extreme discipline and unwavering adherence to his teachers’ vows.

His primary mentor, Ajarn To of Wat Pho Sri Charoen, was a forest monk of exceptional austerity, who himself studied under some of the most revered masters in Thai history, including:

• Luang Phor Pan – Wat Bang Nom Kho

• Luang Phor Yee – Wat Sattahip

• Luang Phor Im – Wat Hua Khao

Ajarn To imposed exceptionally strict conditions on any disciple wishing to study under him. Aspirants were required to abstain entirely from all starchy foods (including rice, tubers, grains, and many fruits), meat, and certain vegetables, subsisting only on limited plant matter for a period of four years before being formally accepted. Luang Pu Nuam successfully completed this vow, demonstrating extraordinary resolve and spiritual commitment.

Esoteric Training and Magical Mastery

During his years of training, Luang Pu Nuam undertook intensive meditation practices, including:

• Anapanasati (mindfulness of breathing)

• Kasina meditation across multiple elemental disciplines

• Mastery of Khmer sacred script (Khom)

• Precise memorisation and internalisation of sacred mantras

Among the principal arts transmitted to him were:

• Na Maha Samret (a highly secret success-and-wealth formula)

• Metta Maha Niyom (charm, attraction, and goodwill)

• Maha Lap (wealth and prosperity)

• Invulnerability and protective magic

• Wealth-calling rituals, including the famed fighting fish prosperity method

The Na Maha Samret formula, in particular, is considered comparable to Na Na Thong (golden forehead inscription), but differs entirely in its sacred characters and internal method. Luang Pu Nuam never passed this formula on to others, maintaining a lifelong vow to his teachers.

Devotees consistently reported that the effects of Na Maha Samret manifested rapidly and powerfully, often within three days, provided the practitioner focused clearly on a single sincere wish.
